This Privacy Policy explains how Skilluxo ("we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our freelance marketplace at skilluxo.com and its related mobile-friendly web app (together, the "Platform"). By using Skilluxo, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

We share information only in the following circumstances:
All card payments are processed directly by Paystack; Skilluxo's servers never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or expiry date. For Sellers requesting a payout, we store the bank account details you provide (account number, bank code, and account holder name as returned by the bank's verification API) solely to initiate transfers via Paystack. Escrow balances and transaction history are retained as part of your account for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes.
Skilluxo uses browser local storage (not third-party ad-tracking cookies) to keep you signed in between visits. Cloudflare Turnstile, our bot-protection tool on login, signup, and checkout, may set its own cookies/tokens as part of verifying that a request comes from a real browser rather than an automated script — this is a security function, not advertising tracking.
Passwords are stored using industry-standard salted hashing (bcrypt) and are never recoverable in plain text, even by Skilluxo staff. All traffic to the Platform is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS. Access to production systems and the database is restricted to authorized personnel. While we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes. If you close your account, we deactivate it and remove personal information from active use, retaining only what is legally required (e.g. transaction records) for the applicable statutory period.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most account information directly from your Skilluxo dashboard Settings. To exercise any other right, contact us at the email below — we will respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to identity verification and any legal retention obligations that may limit deletion of transaction records.
Skilluxo is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it.
Skilluxo is operated from Nigeria and serves users globally. By using the Platform, you understand that your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your home country. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely regardless of where it is processed.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated via email or an in-app notice where appropriate.
