This Privacy Policy explains how Skilluxo, operated by AFRISTACK SMART SYSTEM LTD ("we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use skilluxo.com and its web app (the "Platform"). We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where they apply to you, the data-protection laws of your own country. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
To protect Buyers and Sellers from scams and from deals that lose escrow protection, an automated filter checks the text of messages, proposals, custom offers and Workstation chat when they are sent. It looks for contact details, bank details, outside payment links and phrases about dealing outside Skilluxo. No person reads your messages as part of this check, and the filter does not decide anything about your account by itself.
When a message matches, it is still delivered, you see a reminder, and only that message is sent to our Trust & Safety team. An authorised administrator may read the flagged message and the conversation around it to understand the context. Each review needs a written reason and is recorded with the administrator's name and the time. A person then decides whether to take no action, warn you, restrict some features, or suspend or close the account, and we email you about any action taken. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and protecting users, and to perform our contract with you.

We share information only in these cases:
All card payments are processed directly by Flutterwave or Paystack; Skilluxo's servers never receive or store your full card number, CVV or expiry date. For payouts we store the bank details you provide (account number, bank and the account holder name returned by the bank's verification) only to send your money. Escrow balances and transaction history are kept with your account for accounting and dispute purposes.
Skilluxo uses browser local storage (not third-party advertising cookies) to keep you signed in. Cloudflare Turnstile, our bot protection on login, signup and checkout, may set its own cookies or tokens to check that a request comes from a real browser. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate.
Passwords are stored using salted hashing (bcrypt) and can never be read, even by Skilluxo staff. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Access to production systems, and to flagged conversations, is limited to authorised staff and is logged. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep account, enrollment and transaction data while your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and legal reasons. Safety records (flagged messages, decisions and the review log) are kept for up to 2 years after the decision, or longer if they are needed for a dispute or legal claim. If you close your account, we deactivate it and remove personal information from active use, keeping only what the law requires.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that may apply to you, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, object to or restrict some processing, and ask for a human review of a decision that affects you. You can update most details yourself in your dashboard Settings and in onboarding ("About you"). For anything else, contact us at the address below. We will reply within a reasonable time, after confirming your identity, and subject to records we must keep by law. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Skilluxo is only for people aged 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth at enrollment and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will close the account and delete the information.
Skilluxo is operated from Nigeria and welcomes users from every country. Your information may be processed and stored on servers outside your country, where data-protection laws may differ. We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure wherever it is processed.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. We will tell you about material changes by email or an in-app notice where appropriate.
